SUPER STITCHES with SHEILA

Sheila Davies takes our final workshop on August 18th and it promises to be one full of colourful stitch. Sheila has visited us at Itchyfingers for a workshop, opened one of our exhibitions and has given a talk for our AGM. She is lovely, warm and generous and I'm sure our final workshop will be one to remember. www.celyntextiles.co.uk is Sheila's website and here you can see both her work and the workshops she offers. Her textile work is as she says traditional and/or experimental, she uses unusual materials including net and bags and the work produced is tactile and unique. In our workshop she will be helping you create a piece of work that may get turned into a bookcover but if you want to work bigger that's entirely down to you. She will be showing the techniques to create a colourful background and then learn her methods of creating of her sumptuous stitches, mixing, layering and blending colours, beads and textures - fabulous!
