ATTENTION FESTIVAL PARTICIPANTS -
Exhibition Venues –
You now all know your venues, dates and your exhibition titles.
As we are using Children’s Literature the scope is endless, but please be aware of copyrighted material. All those images that we are so familiar with are the work of artists and are copyrighted. If any of you are struggling to overcome this issue, please let us know and we will offer some suggestions how to deal with the copyrighted material.
Some of you may be considering making 3D items, so you are not disappointed when it comes to presenting your work at the exhibition please ask the curators of the venue the internal sizes of their cabinets before you start. It is always worth checking what the hanging method is for your particular venue.
External Textile Street Art -
The External Street Art sites need to be photographed by yourselves from every angle so you have a clear image of your area for decoration. Try and make use of any fixtures that you have in your designated area as these can be used to anchor your works of art.
A clear design of the area, materials to be used, with fixing methods and any potential risks identified. The team will require your proposed plan for your designated site by the end of February. We have to compile an application for the Council Planning Dept. of all the Textile Street Art for submission in March.
