Swansea Museum will host our daytime workshops. These will be from 10am till 4pm on the 9th 10th and 11th and the 16th 17th and 18th of August 2016. We will be offering opportunities to learn new skills or perhaps to build on an existing one.

Tuesday 9th August 2016 - Create your own fabric keepsake book. Use a personal memory or event as a starting point and illustrate with applique stitch, layers of fabrics even rubber stamps and use an old typewriter on fabric to make an unique talking point. Tuesday 16th August 2016 - Demystifying Intarsia. This workshop aims to demystify the basics of how colour 'works' and will show you the skills to make beautiful Intarsia work. Wednesday 17th August 2016 - Develop your feltmaking skills by experimenting with a selection of wool pieces to create a variety of textures in felt using resists and fabric. Samples will be made on the day but the techniques can easily be transferred to hats, vessels and wallpieces - forming a perfect canvas for hand or machine embroidery. Sorry workshop FULL
