VISIT TO WEDNESDAY STITCHERS

Ready for a Strawberry Tea

The Wednesday Stitchers are a thriving textile group with their headquarters based in Longford Village Hall. I met the ladies on the 27th April and Pat had arranged a fabulous array of their work for me to photograph. There was a wealth of interpretations of their Alice in Swansea and it was great fun to see all the different types of work.
As you can see there was Alice ready to go..
There is an intriguing array of characters from the book worked in a variety of different ways. We have the lovely Alice and the White Rabbit along with the Queen of Hearts and her knave in the display. The fabulous food that would have adorned the table at the Mad Hatters Tea Party looks abolutely delicious and tempting. They are worked in applique, patchwork, and are quilted stitched by hand and machine and I am absolutely sure the exhibition in Tapestri will be a fantastic success.
I have taken loads of photographs and they will communicate much more effectively the success that this exhibition will be.
Such delights for tea
