SWANSEA QUILTERS and THE BAYWOOD QUILTERS

Robi and I had a very successful visit to Swansea Quilters and were very pleased that there was a lot of progress with their main exhibition in the National Waterfront Museum of Wales. The title of the Exhibition is 'The Wizard of Oz' and whilst many will be making their own quilts there is to be a group installation of the Yellow Brick Road where each individual is making a bright yellow brick to travel down the length of the Colonnade.

It will be beautiful and amazing because each block will be one of a kind. There were plenty of ideas for the external street art including windsocks, flags, bunting and Elmer the Patchwork Elephant so that planning is underway.

The Baywood Quilters are working on Alice in Wonderland which will be displayed in The National Waterfront Museum as well, they are creating a series of quilted images to run along the windows and this fabulous Rabbit was created by Jan.
